All are welcome to our various worship services. Our primary service of worship is held on Sunday mornings at 11am.
People from over 15 different nationalities gather to worship God in a contemporary format.
We also have a midweek service at Thursday lunchtimes designed for people who find themselves in the City at this time.
Throughout the year, City Temple provides many other services of worship, such as Restore, carol services, Good Friday services, prophetic intercessory worship and many more.
The Sunday service is the main gathering of the City Temple family where we meet together to worship the Lord.
We would love you to join us.
Below is the general run of the service to give you an idea of what you can expect.
Tea and coffee is served from 10:30am.
The service begins at 11am by entering into God’s presence with worship.
Our gathering is then blessed with an informal welcome and notices.
We then worship in song followed by the opportunity to greet one another in Jesus’ name. You are able to move around and greet one another as an act of belonging and worship.
There is then a Moment with the Kids at the front where the Minister will tell a story involving our walk with Jesus.
Following that, we pray for each other, our church, the nation and the world.
This is followed by a scripture reading and a sermon from the Minister or a guest speaker.
The service closes with a time of worship as we finish around 12:45.
This is the general pattern of the service. There are some additions from time to time.
Communion is taken once a month and is open to all who proclaim Jesus as Lord.
If you have any questions about the service, please feel free to contact us.
We will be happy to assist you.
Our Thursday service takes place between 13:15 and 13:45.
It is tailored towards those working in the City but anyone is welcome to attend.
We begin with Worship then move into scripture readings and a sermon.
The service closes with Worship.
