Finding City Temple
The Location
The City Temple is in central London, in the City of London, and is
situated on the south side of Holborn Viaduct, between Holborn Circus
and Farringdon Road. Holborn Viaduct is one of the main road arteries
connecting the City with the West End of London. The nearest landmark
is Holborn Circus.
Sunday Transportation Options

Tube options available that day include Farringdon, St Paul's and Blackfriars.
The City Thameslink station is closed on Sunday,
but Farringdon and Blackfriar Stations are still available for Thameslink Service .
Buses running into the area include the 8, 25, 45, 46, 63, 83, 207, 242, 341, 427 and 748.
London Underground
The closest tube station to the City Temple is not Holborn.
The closest tube stations are: Chancery Lane exit 3, (closed on Sundays), which is on the Central Line
and from which the City Temple is 3 minutes walk East; and Farringdon, on the Circle,
District and Hammersmith & City Lines, and from which the City Temple is 4 minutes walk
South West. In addition the City Temple is 5 minutes walk west from St Paul’s tube
station (also on the Central line) or 6 minutes walk north from Blackfriars (on the Circle
and District Lines.)
The Train
The City Temple is 300 metres west from the City Thameslink station (closed on
Sundays) with Farringdon or Blackfriars Thameslink stations as alternatives.
Blackfriars is also a main-line railway station. In addition, the City Temple is only a
short hop from all major London railway termini (Rail Information Line: 0345
484950).

From Gatwick:
Take the Thameslink Rail towards Bedford, exiting either at City Thameslink Station located to the East of City Temple on the viaduct or at Farringdon Station, shown on the map provided.
From Heathrow: Heathrow Express to Paddington then Circle line tube to
Farringdon; Tube: Piccadilly line to Holborn, then Central
line to Chancery Lane/St Paul’s
From Luton: Take the Thameslink Rail towards Brighton, exiting either at City Thameslink Station located to the East of City Temple on the viaduct or at Farringdon Station, shown on the map provided.
From Stansted: Stansted Express from airport to Liverpool Street main-line
railway station, then Central Line tube to Chancery Lane/St Paul’s.
Parking
Metered Parking:
There is limited, metered parking available in the immediate vicinity on Shoe Lane, Plumtree Court and St Andrew Street. The meters are free after 6.30pm on weekdays, after 1.30pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday.
Car Parks:
The nearest car parks (all NCP) are located opposite Farringdon tube station (Cowcross Street), on Snow Hill (off Holborn Viaduct) and close to the Old Bailey (Limeburner Lane).
Disabled Parking:
There is limited disabled parking on Plum Tree Court, the road directly behind the City Temple, and on St Andrew Street.
